Daily Duas

بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

Bismillāhil-ladhī lā yaḍurru maʿa-smihī shay’un fil-arḍi wa lā fis-samā’i wa huwas-samīʿul-ʿalīm

English: In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the earth or in the heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

اردو: اللہ کے نام سے جس کے نام کے ساتھ زمین و آسمان میں کوئی چیز نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکتی، اور وہ سننے والا، جاننے والا ہے۔

الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Al-ḥamdu lillāhil-ladhī aḥyānā baʿda mā amātanā wa ilayhin-nushūr

English: All praise is for Allah, who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.

اردو: تمام تعریف اللہ کے لیے ہے جس نے ہمیں موت کے بعد زندگی دی، اور اسی کی طرف اٹھنا ہے۔

بِاسْمِكَ اللّٰهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

Bismika Allāhumma amūtu wa aḥyā

English: In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live.

اردو: اے اللہ! تیرے نام سے میں مرتا ہوں اور جیتا ہوں۔

بِسْمِ اللهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

Bismillāhi tawakkaltu ʿalallāh, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh

English: In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah. There is no power and no strength except with Allah.

اردو: اللہ کے نام سے، میں نے اللہ پر بھروسہ کیا۔ اور کوئی طاقت اور قوت نہیں مگر اللہ ہی کی طرف سے۔

بِسْمِ اللهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى اللهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

Bismillāhi walajnā, wa bismillāhi kharajnā, wa ʿalallāhi rabbinā tawakkalnā

English: In the name of Allah we enter, in the name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah, our Lord, we place our trust.

اردو: اللہ کے نام سے ہم داخل ہوئے، اللہ کے نام سے ہم نکلے، اور اپنے رب اللہ پر ہم نے بھروسہ کیا۔

رَّبِّ ٱرْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِى صَغِيرًا

Rabbi-rḥamhumā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīrā

English: My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small.

اردو: اے میرے رب! ان دونوں پر رحم فرما جیسے انہوں نے بچپن میں میری پرورش کی۔

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَٱجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Rabbanā hab lanā min azwājinā wa dhurriyyātinā qurrata aʿyunin wa-jʿalnā lil-muttaqīna imāmā

English: Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and offspring comfort for our eyes, and make us leaders for those who are mindful of You.

اردو: اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں ہماری بیویوں اور اولاد سے آنکھوں کی ٹھنڈک عطا فرما، اور ہمیں پرہیزگاروں کا امام بنا۔

الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ — يَرْحَمُكَ اللهُ — يَهْدِيكُمُ اللهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ

Al-ḥamdu lillāh. — Yarḥamukallāh. — Yahdīkumullāhu wa yuṣliḥu bālakum.

English: The one who sneezes says: All praise is for Allah. The listener says: May Allah have mercy on you. The one who sneezed replies: May Allah guide you and set your affairs right.

اردو: چھینکنے والا کہے: تمام تعریف اللہ کے لیے ہے۔ سننے والا کہے: اللہ تم پر رحم فرمائے۔ جواب: اللہ تمہیں ہدایت دے اور تمہارا حال درست کرے۔

اللّٰهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

Allāhumma-ftaḥ lī abwāba raḥmatik

English: O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.

اردو: اے اللہ! میرے لیے اپنی رحمت کے دروازے کھول دے۔

اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

Allāhumma innī as’aluka min faḍlik

English: O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty.

اردو: اے اللہ! میں تجھ سے تیرے فضل کا سوال کرتا ہوں۔

اللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ هٰذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ

Allāhumma rabba hādhihid-daʿwatit-tāmmati waṣ-ṣalātil-qā’imah, āti Muḥammadanil-wasīlata wal-faḍīlah, wabʿathhu maqāman maḥmūdanil-ladhī waʿadtah

English: O Allah, Lord of this complete call and of the established prayer, grant Muhammad the wasilah and virtue, and raise him to the praiseworthy station that You promised him.

اردو: اے اللہ! اس کامل پکار اور قائم ہونے والی نماز کے رب، محمد کو وسیلہ اور فضیلت عطا فرما، اور انہیں اس محمود مقام پر پہنچا جس کا تو نے وعدہ کیا۔

بِسْمِ اللهِ

Bismillāh

English: In the name of Allah.

اردو: اللہ کے نام سے۔

الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ

Al-ḥamdu lillāhil-ladhī aṭʿamanā wa saqānā wa jaʿalanā muslimīn

English: All praise is for Allah, who fed us, gave us drink, and made us Muslims.

اردو: تمام تعریف اللہ کے لیے ہے جس نے ہمیں کھانا دیا، پلایا، اور مسلمان بنایا۔

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ

Dhahabaẓ-ẓama’u wabtallatil-ʿurūqu wa thabatal-ajru in shā’ Allāh

English: The thirst has gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.

اردو: پیاس چلی گئی، رگیں تر ہو گئیں، اور اجر ثابت ہوا، اگر اللہ نے چاہا۔

اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika minal-khubuthi wal-khabā’ith

English: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the male and female unclean spirits.

اردو: اے اللہ! میں نر اور مادہ خبیث روحوں سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔

غُفْرَانَكَ

Ghufrānak

English: I ask You for Your forgiveness.

اردو: تیری بخشش مانگتا ہوں۔

بِسْمِ اللهِ

Bismillāh

English: In the name of Allah.

اردو: اللہ کے نام سے۔

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ. اللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

Ashhadu an lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahū lā sharīka lah, wa ashhadu anna Muḥammadan ʿabduhū wa rasūluh. Allāhumma-jʿalnī minat-tawwābīn, wa-jʿalnī minal-mutaṭahhirīn.

English: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah, make me among those who repent often, and make me among those who purify themselves.

اردو: میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ اکیلا ہے، اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، اور میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ محمد اس کے بندے اور رسول ہیں۔ اے اللہ! مجھے بار بار توبہ کرنے والوں میں سے بنا، اور مجھے پاک رہنے والوں میں سے بنا۔

سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَـٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُۥ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ

Subḥānal-ladhī sakhkhara lanā hādhā wa mā kunnā lahū muqrinīn, wa innā ilā rabbinā lamunqalibūn

English: Glory be to the One who has subjected this to us, and we could not have done it by ourselves. And to our Lord we will surely return.

اردو: پاک ہے وہ جس نے اس سواری کو ہمارے بس میں دیا، حالانکہ ہم اسے قابو میں لانے والے نہ تھے۔ اور ہم اپنے رب ہی کی طرف پلٹنے والے ہیں۔

آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ

Āyibūna tā’ibūna ʿābidūna li-rabbinā ḥāmidūn

English: We return, we repent, we worship, and we praise our Lord.

اردو: ہم لوٹنے والے، توبہ کرنے والے، عبادت کرنے والے ہیں، اپنے رب کی تعریف کرتے ہوئے۔

اللّٰهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا

Allāhumma ṣayyiban nāfiʿā

English: O Allah, (make it) a beneficial downpour.

اردو: اے اللہ! فائدے والی بارش بنا۔

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ

Subḥānal-ladhī yusabbiḥur-raʿdu biḥamdihī wal-malā’ikatu min khīfatih

English: Glory be to the One whom the thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels from fear of Him.

اردو: پاک ہے وہ جس کی حمد کے ساتھ بادل گرجتا ہے، اور فرشتے اس کے خوف سے تسبیح کرتے ہیں۔

رَبِّ زِدْنِى عِلْمًا

Rabbi zidnī ʿilmā

English: My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

اردو: اے میرے رب! میرے علم میں اضافہ فرما۔

ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Ihdinaṣ-ṣirāṭal-mustaqīm

English: Guide us to the straight path.

اردو: ہمیں سیدھا راستہ دکھا۔

رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

Rabbanā ātinā fid-dunyā ḥasanatan wa fil-ākhirati ḥasanatan wa qinā ʿadhāban-nār

English: Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

اردو: اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں دنیا میں بھلائی دے اور آخرت میں بھلائی دے، اور ہمیں آگ کے عذاب سے بچا۔

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ

Rabbanā lā tuzigh qulūbanā baʿda idh hadaytanā wa hab lanā min ladunka raḥmah, innaka antal-Wahhāb

English: Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Yourself. You are the Giver.

اردو: اے ہمارے رب! ہمارے دلوں کو ٹیڑھا نہ کر بعد اس کے کہ تو نے ہمیں ہدایت دی، اور ہمیں اپنی طرف سے رحمت عطا فرما۔ بے شک تو بہت دینے والا ہے۔

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

Astaghfirullāha wa atūbu ilayh

English: I seek Allah’s forgiveness and I turn to Him in repentance.

اردو: میں اللہ سے بخشش مانگتا ہوں اور اس کی طرف توبہ کرتا ہوں۔

اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika minal-hammi wal-ḥazan, wal-ʿajzi wal-kasal, wal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa ḍalaʿid-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijāl

English: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from inability and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, and from the burden of debt and being overpowered by people.

اردو: اے اللہ! میں فکر اور غم سے، عاجزی اور سستی سے، بزدلی اور بخل سے، اور قرض کے بوجھ اور لوگوں کے غلبے سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔

لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنتَ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ إِنِّى كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka innī kuntu minaz-ẓālimīn

English: There is no god but You. Glory be to You. I have been among the wrongdoers.

اردو: تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ تو پاک ہے۔ بے شک میں ظالموں میں سے تھا۔

اللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَىٰ عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Allāhumma anta rabbī lā ilāha illā ant, khalaqtanī wa anā ʿabduk, wa anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa waʿdika mā-staṭaʿt. Aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿt. Abū’u laka bi-niʿmatika ʿalayya wa abū’u laka bi-dhanbī faghfir lī, fa-innahū lā yaghfirudh-dhunūba illā ant.

English: O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I am upon Your covenant and promise as much as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I admit Your blessing upon me, and I admit my sin, so forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.

اردو: اے اللہ! تو میرا رب ہے، تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ تو نے مجھے پیدا کیا اور میں تیرا بندہ ہوں۔ میں تیری پیمان اور وعدے پر جہاں تک میری طاقت ہے قائم ہوں۔ جو کچھ میں نے کیا اس کی برائی سے میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔ میں اپنے اوپر تیری نعمت کا اقرار کرتا ہوں اور اپنے گناہ کا اقرار کرتا ہوں، پس مجھے بخش دے، کیونکہ گناہوں کو تیرے سوا کوئی نہیں بخشتا۔
